Do men have to shave their body hair for military boot camp?

I am a 26 year old male and have been told to report to military boot camp later this week. I was wondering if I am expected to shave or trim my body hair before reporting to the training center? I know that they will shave my head after I arrive, but am I supposed to shave off my body and pubic hair as well? Thanks for the help!Do men have to shave their body hair for military boot camp?
No. They will only shave your head. Your body hair is up to you. But you will have to shave your facial hair in boot camp and your facial hair and haircut must meet regulations while you are in uniform throughout your military career.Do men have to shave their body hair for military boot camp?
I served proudly in the Army for 7 yrs and at no time was I ever asked or required to shave off my body hair. You will shave your face every day or you will do a lot of pushups for not doing it...your choice :).





Relax! Your time in the Army will be wonderful, awful, exciting, dangerous at times, fun at times, but the least of your worries is shaving off your body hair.





My advice to you is to learn well everything you are taught. Take each day one day at a time and get through that day as best you can. Get rest when you can, eat as well as you can. Keep a very positive attitude...there is life after boot camp. The more of a hard charger or gung ho you are will make you stand out from the other grunts and will result in leadership opportunities and make your life better while in boot camp.





I went through a lot of training, served in elite forces, survived all of that (thanks to the grace of God) and I'm intact and healthy after all that. You can be too!





You may or may not wind up in a combat zone so be optimistic that you might not wind up in harms way. But if you do, some don't come back, some come back missing body parts, but a lot of guys come back intact and that is what you should strive to do.

Yes, you have to be completely bald from head to foot.








No, you dumbass of course not. They will buzz cut your hair (not shave) and you will be expected to shave your face every day whether you need it or not but that is it. Oh, you don't have to shave your beard (if you have one) before you get there. I had a beard for 3 days in boot camp before they issued us razors so that I could shave.
Only facial hair dear. hey will cut your hair, not shave them.
