my hair is about more than half a inch and i was wondering how would i put it down? becuz natrually it sticks straight up and i wear hats and then i put my gel on to keep it down but sometimes it dont work, but the problem is......how can i keeep it down using gel with out it coming back up?? easy 10 pointsHow do i keep my hair down?! for men?
The only way to keep it down if it wants to stay up even with gel or wax is to grow it long enough for the weight of the hair to keep it down. I don't see why you want it to stay down. It usually looks best for the hair to stand up at that length. That's the whole idea behind a short pomp style-crew cut, ivy league, flat top crew cut. An ivy league will stay down and can be worn brushed forward or parted and combed to the side. Typical parameters are around 1.5'; at the front hairline graduated in length to about 5/8'; at the back of the crown.

Grooming any of the short pomp styles- crew cut, ivy league, flat top crew cut- is basically the same and takes about a minute or two.
1) Towel dry hair.
2) Barely dip fingertips in jar of wax.
3)Transfer wax to palms.
4) Smooth palms over hair.
5)Brush hair off forehead to form short pomp front.
Whichever style you decide on, be sure to take a photo to help describe the desired haircut to the barber or stylist. If you need more photos of a particular style let me know.
Good Luck! How do i keep my hair down?! for men?
straigten it down the force will keep it there :)
Straighten it, it will keep ur hair down, and wont take anytime at all with your length, use a heat tamer spray though.
